Sharp LC15B6US 15 inch LCD TV user reviews

"The beautifully designed TV is not only pleased to look at, but it LCD screen is amazingly sharp with vivid clarity. It has S-Video, component, RF, and composite inputs convenient for all your video sources. The LC-15B6U-S is and EDTV that is capable of 480p and is a good match for that Progressive Scan DVD player you have. EDTV is a step closer to HDTV.

Sharp makes very nice LCD comparing to other CRT TVs. They are marketed as high end systems. I Bought opened box at CompUSA for under $300 otherwise is an expensive TV.

"Sharp LC15B6US 15 inch LCD TV is a beautiful looking unit, very light and excellant sound from such a small unit. The menu controls are very easy to navigate, the system found all channels and pretty much set it self up with no input from me. I like the letterbox features, the auto clock and the remote is very easy to navigate. The picture quality is good except for motion scenes. I found that LCD's do not match the clarity of motion of a tube tv. ANY motion is just not clear and is quite evident in extreme motion scenes. If it wasn't for this drawback, I would have rated it a 5. "

"Sharp LC15B6US 15 inch LCD TV is sitting on my bar and the picture is great. It has more inputs than most other tvs and there is a cover on the back to conceal the connections. Its light weight and the base is removable to allow for wall mounting.

"Sharp LC15B6US 15 inch LCD TV is the best small unit TV ever owned. Sharp's quality in remarkable. Has many neat features, too many to list. Sound is great and the picture is even better. Auto contrast feature is nice, but the slimness and weight are remarkable. Compared all LCD Flat panel's, read all the reviews and decided to jump into the Sharp. Amazon had the best deal going. Great price and a quality unit. "

"The LC-15B6U-S from Sharp is a 15-inch AQUOS TV with a flat LCD screen, ideal for wall mounting or for use with its included swivel stand. The stand includes a handle for toting the LC-15B6U-S, and the stand can be removed for mounting the monitor on a wall with standard VESA hardware (available separately).

The picture on the standard 4:3 aspect ratio screen looks good in all sorts of light conditions. The display's resolution is 640X480, with all images displayed in 480p unless interlaced display is chosen via the on-screen menu. The 500:1 contrast ratio and 430 cd/m2 luminance rating contribute to the picture quality on this TV, which is rated at the enhanced definition level (not HDTV).

The LC-15B6U-S is well suited to displaying progressive scan DVD content, and it has advanced 3:2 pulldown conversion to ensure that film content looks smooth. The screen can be viewed from 170 degrees vertically and horizontally, so visibility is great from any seat in the room.

The audio output is rated at 2.1 watts per channel, which is enough when watching a small TV such as this one. Among the convenience features are three color temperature settings and a previous channel return button.

The rear panel holds a set of inputs and outputs for use with a DVD player and other components, including an HD component video input, an S-video input, a pair of audio/video inputs, an RF input, and an audio/video output. All the input and output jacks are protected from dust by a removable cover.

The silver monitor of the Sharp LC-15B6U-S looks good from every angle, with silver speakers flanking the display panel and colorful control buttons along the top edge.
