Sharp makes very nice LCD comparing to other CRT TVs. They are marketed as high end systems. I Bought opened box at CompUSA for under $300 otherwise is an expensive TV.

The menu controls are very easy to navigate, the system found all channels and pretty much set it self up with no input from me. I like the letterbox features, the auto clock and the remote is very easy to navigate. The picture quality is good except for motion scenes. I found that LCD's do not match the clarity of motion of a tube tv. ANY motion is just not clear and is quite evident in extreme motion scenes. If it wasn't for this drawback, I would have rated it a 5. "

The picture on the standard 4:3 aspect ratio screen looks good in all sorts of light conditions. The display's resolution is 640X480, with all images displayed in 480p unless interlaced display is chosen via the on-screen menu. The 500:1 contrast ratio and 430 cd/m2 luminance rating contribute to the picture quality on this TV, which is rated at the enhanced definition level (not HDTV).
